Microsoft originally invented the separator with 2. Level RT And the original Surface Pro, And over the years, the company has consistently reiterated surface design, while being careful not to make any fundamental changes that frighten longtime owners or select enterprise customers. With the Surface Pro 8, Microsoft took on the innovations of its past, added some shiny new features, and built a device that is basically the biggest hit collection of design that has been falling apart for almost a decade.

Improved design with a stunning display.

The basic formula of the Surface Pro 8 has not changed much from the previous levels. You still get a tablet body with a kickstand, built-in stylus support, and a magnetic connector on one side to connect to one of Microsoft’s removable keyboard courses.

Instead of completely revising last year’s level, Microsoft basically copied and pasted the design. Surface Pro X. On the Surface Pro 8. So now you get a slimmer and slightly curved 2-in-1, with smaller (and larger) round bezels, which Microsoft has increased the size of the Surface Pro 8’s display from 12.3 inches to a full 13. ۔ Inches, which gives you more screen without any extra bulk. One big difference between the Surface Pro 8 and the Surface Pro X is that since the SP8 has a beaver CPU, it has a thin strip to protrude from the top in the landscape.

At the back, there is a simple kick stand that can be easily and firmly placed at virtually any angle. To support better longevity and upgradability, Microsoft has also included a removable backplate hidden behind the Kickstarter that allows you to easily access the SP8KM2 SSD. Which is not included). Just note that due to the limited space inside its chassis, the Surface Pro 8 is limited to less common 2230M2 drives, instead the long form factor SSD you can find in larger machines.

However, there’s a change in the Surface Pro 8 that could shake some wings: the Surface’s signature magnesium chassis went with Microsoft Aluminum instead. Apparently, aluminum is easy to recycle and paint, which is good for everyone who is bored of silver, as the Surface Pro 8 is available in both platinum and graphite (as seen in our review unit).

Without a doubt, the biggest upgrade to the Surface Pro 8 is its new display. Not only is its 13-inch 2880 x 1920 touch screen bigger than before, it now also gets a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s an absolute pleasure to watch. When measured with a light meter, I found that the screen of the Surface Pro 8 tops at 450 nits, which is bright enough to be easily seen in any environment, from a sunny coffee shop to an outdoor patio. And thanks to its clear colors, everything from movies to comics just pops in, while its accurate colors give me the confidence to edit photos on the go.

That said, I have to admit that the feature that amazes me the most is the Surface Pro 8’s speakers, which are far better than you would expect from anything thin or portable. The height is pleasantly crisp, and when it comes to bosses, Microsoft has added a Nifty Dynamic EQ that actually increases the bass when you reduce the volume, so you don’t try to annoy your neighbors. Get full, full audio though. . Sound quality on 2-in-1s خاص especially super-portable systems such as the SP8 اکثر is often overlooked and overlooked, so it’s great to see Microsoft above and beyond its latest split.

High speed.

Although the Surface Pro 8 is not intended to be a mobile workstation, it still delivers respectable performance thanks to a range of 11th-generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors (our review unit I7-1185G7 and Comes with 16 GB RAM). Despite the more limited heating conditions, our i7 Surface Pro 8 posted almost identical scores. Surface Laptop Studio For both single and multi-core performances in Geekbench 5, while in Blender our CPU rendering test is completing just 30 seconds slower (7:44 SP8 vs. 7:07 for Studio). It’s not too bad for the ultra-portable 2-in-1, and honestly, I’d probably choose to save some cash and go for Core i5 config.

One downside is that unlike the previous Surface Pro, the Surface Pro 8 cannot be configured with a Core i3 chip unless you are an enterprise customer. This is annoying for anyone hoping to snatch a new SP8 at the lowest price, as the cheapest Surface Pro for consumers now starts at $ 1100. And that doesn’t include the cost of a surface pane or keyboard.

Non-optional extras.

While the surface. Thin pen 2. New this year, the Surface Pro 8’s signature keyboard is exactly the same equipment that Microsoft made for the Surface Pro X. Its notable party trick is a hidden slot for stashing and recharging the Slim Pan2 when not in use.

Thanks to a new heptic engine inside the Slim Pen 2, note-taking and sketching now feels like a whole new experience that Microsoft can force feedback for a range of commands and gestures نہ not just in first-party Microsoft apps, but Any app is compatible with Windows Inking Platform or apps that have special support from its developer.

This makes tasks like marking drafts feel more interactive, as Slam Pan2 confirms that when I want to delete a word, I can draw a strike throw with styles, or words, sentences, or Even highlighting the paragraph by circling it significantly. It practically adds even more value to me, a member of a shrinking population who still takes handwritten notes, because this extra emotional impression makes me feel like this is my last hurdle. Is breaking down when it comes to going completely digital for my personal memo. .

And while this is still just a long, long moment for my liking when actually used on my lap, the Surface Pro 8’s separate keyboard feels solid enough everywhere, which is a bounce stroke and satisfying. Offers key travel.

But let’s be honest, calling the Slim Pen 2 and the signature keyboard accessories isn’t really doing them justice, as the keyboard feels like a key component to getting the full Surface Pro 2-in-1 experience. Is. And although Windows 11 feels great to use in tablet mode with a dynamic UI that adds extra space between icons to make them more touch friendly, it still doesn’t feel good to know that you need extra 280 will have to spend. The Surface Pro 8’s high starting price for “optional” accessories to get the most out of the system.

Just fine battery life.

Posting eight hours and 18 minutes on our Wi-Fi video run-down test, the Surface Pro 8’s battery life isn’t great, but it’s not bad either. It’s similar to Razor Book 13 (8:25), but lower than Dell XPS 13 (9:59). In the real world, lumbering elephants are exposed by the aggression of speeding midgets. And yet, because the Surface Pro 8’s power adapter is relatively light and comes with a built-in USB-A port, I’d rather keep it close rather than leave it entirely at home.

The Surface Pro 8 comes with Thunderbolt 4 with two USB-C ports, making it even easier to do SP8 docking and connecting external monitors. And if you’re too prone, you can also add an external GPU to improve its performance. Then, if you are planning to buy a new SP8. And An external GPU wall, you really want to consider a completely different (and beaver) laptop.

For quick sign-on and reliable video calling, the SP8 also includes a dual-field mic, a 5MP webcam, and a built-in IR camera for Windows Hello Face Verification.

A 2-in-1. Worth buying?

Microsoft is not recreating the wheel (or, in this case, a separate laptop) with the Surface Pro 8, but the company has been careful when it comes to choosing which elements to reuse from the previous system. And which components need to be upgraded. The Surface Pro 8’s screen is excellent, the Slim Pen 2 feels like a revelation for drawing and note-taking, and the addition of a double Thunderbolt 4 port makes the SP8 better suited for both on-the-road or desk-connected.

My only wish is that it would be a little cheaper, although for what you get, it is difficult to shut down Microsoft at too many points. The Surface Pro 8 will be at the top of the list if I want to take a very light trip for the upcoming tour.
