4 killed, 21 injured in shooting in Chicago

Chicago (CBS) – At least four people have been killed and 21 others injured in weekend shootings across the city till Saturday. At least four of the victims are under the age of 18.

In the first shooting of the weekend, a 22-year-old man was shot outside in the West Pullman neighborhood on Friday evening.

The shooting took place at around 6:19 pm in the 12800 block of South Lowe.

Police say the victim was on the road when he was hit by multiple bullets on the body by an unknown criminal.

The victim was taken to Ingalls Hospital where he was listed in reasonable condition.

A man was gunned down while walking in Englewood on Friday.

Police said the victim, 43, was walking on the sidewalk in the 900 block of West 69th Street at around 9:45 pm when he heard gunshots and felt pain.

The victim was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition by the Chicago Fire Department with bruises to the left arm and abdomen.

A 31-year-old man was shot near a street in Auburn Gresham on Friday night.

The victim was on the sidewalk in South Laughlin’s 7900 block at around 10:27 pm when an unidentified criminal opened fire from a street.

The victim was taken to Christ in good condition by CFD with a bullet wound in the right arm.

A man was shot on the sidewalk in Archer Heights.

The 21-year-old victim was on the footpath in the 5000 block of South Kildare at around 10:22 pm on Friday night when a rider in a black sedan opened fire.

The victim was taken by CFD to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition with a bullet injury in the buttock.

A man was shot while driving in West Englewood.

The 35-year-old victim was driving south in the 5900 block of Justin at around 10:34 p.m. when he heard the shot and felt pain.

The victim was taken to the U of Sea in good condition by CFD with a bullet wound in the left arm.

In other shoots Friday 5 PM to Monday 5 AM:

A 48-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of East 74th Street at 12:49 am on Saturday when a man in a dark sedan opened fire. The victim was taken to the U of Sea by CFD in critical condition after being shot in the stomach.

At 12:14 a.m. on Saturday, in the 0-100 block of North Kilburn, a 31-year-old woman was standing on the sidewalk when a rider in a red sedan opened fire. The victim was shot in the buttocks and taken by CFD to Mount Sinai in good condition.

· On Friday night at 10:14 pm, two 17-year-old victims were walking on the footpath in 3900 block of South King Drive, when they heard gunshots and felt pain. The first victim was dropped at St. Bernard’s Hospital and transferred to Stroger in proper condition with gunshot wounds to the buttocks. The second victim was also dropped at St. Bernard and is listed in good condition with a gunshot wound to the left leg.

A male adult was standing on the sidewalk with several people when shots were fired in the 7400 block of South Calumet at 1 am on Saturday. The victim was shot in the left leg and was taken to UKC in good condition.

At 1:45 a.m. Saturday, in the 300 block of West 18th Street, a 29-year-old man was driving east on 18th Street when a occupant in a black SUV opened fire. The victim was shot in the face and was carried by CFD to Stroger in the proper position.

At 2:13 a.m. Saturday, in the 4300 block of South Wood, a 27-year-old man was driving east on 43rd Street when several men opened fire from the corner. The victim was shot in the back and was taken by CFD to Stroger in good condition.

· At 1:50 am on Saturday, two people were standing on the sidewalk at 6800 in South Wolcott, when an unidentified man opened fire. A 51-year-old man was taken to C in U in good condition with a bullet wound in his left arm. A 56-year-old woman was taken to U of C in good condition with a bullet wound in her leg.

Preliminary information concerning officers by eyewitnesses in the 0-100 block of West 79th Street at 2:05 a.m. Saturday said a 29-year-old man was in a CTA Red Line train car when an unidentified man opened fire. The victim was taken to the U of Sea with bullet wounds to the chest and abdomen and was pronounced dead.

On Saturday morning, at 1:27 am, two teenagers were walking on the footpath in the 9100 block of South Carpenter, when a male criminal came on foot and opened fire. A 16-year-old boy was shot in the right leg and was released at Jackson Park Hospital. A 15-year-old boy was also released to Jackson Park Hospital in fine condition after being shot in the stomach.

A 33-year-old male was walking on the footpath in 2100 block of South Canal at 2 am on Saturday, when bullets were fired. The victim was left in Ströger by friends and is listed in good condition with a gunshot wound to the right arm.

A 28-year-old man was walking on the footpath in the 6700 block of South Krieger Avenue at 3:20 am on Saturday when he heard gunshots and felt pain. The victim was left in good condition with a gunshot wound to the right hand of St. Bernard.

· At 3:20 am on Saturday, two men were standing in the parking lot in the 400 block of South Clarke when a man in a black sedan opened fire. A 29-year-old man with multiple bullet wounds on his body was taken to Northwestern Hospital and pronounced dead. A 23-year-old man was also taken to Northwestern with gunshot wounds to his right leg and arm.

At 3:15 a.m. Saturday, a 26-year-old man was standing in a parking lot with several people in the 200 block of West 87th Street when shots were fired. The victim was pinned down on Struger with a bullet injury to the chest and was pronounced dead.

A 31-year-old man was walking outside in the 2400 block of West Erie at 3:48 a.m. Saturday when he heard gunshots and started in pain. He was taken to Rush Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left ankle in good condition.

A 28-year-old man was inside his vehicle in the 7100 block of South Ashland at 4:43 a.m. Saturday when an unidentified criminal entered from the front passenger’s side and displayed a firearm. The criminal then demanded his vehicle at which time he complied. When the criminal was running from the spot, a bullet was fired in his direction. The victim was taken to the U of Sea in good condition with a gunshot wound to his left leg.

At 5:13 a.m. Saturday, in the 4000 block of West Monroe, a 30-year-old male victim found outside unresponsive at the above location was taken to Mount Sinai with a gunshot wound to his neck, where He was declared dead.

· On Saturday morning at 6:22 am in 8300 block of South Peoria, a 34-year-old man felt pain when he heard the sound of bullets. He was taken to U of C in good condition with a gunshot wound to his left shoulder and a gunshot wound to his left wrist.

No one is in custody in both incidents.
