A good tactical vehicle was stolen when a knife-wielding man was found lying in the street.

A 31-year-old man was stabbed and seriously injured during a fight in St. Paul’s on Tuesday night, and a passerby who stopped to help him had his car stolen and injured.

Police spokesman Steve Landers said the 21-year-old man came to the scene of a stabbing incident on University Avenue and Victoria Street after 11pm and called 911 to try to get medical help.

According to Landers, the man who was stabbed in the neck told police he was arguing on the light rail, and when he got off the train, he and each other started punching each other. Police said he was stabbed in the carotid artery in the neck and paramedics took him to a regional hospital where he underwent surgery.
