Bethany Bernatsky, a woman shot dead at a Minnesota resort, may have been mistaken for the accused’s ex-girlfriend

The random killing of a 46-year-old former horse trainer at a Minnesota resort last week stunned the small town of Nisua with its indifference, but now police say the victim may not have been the real target.
