A Cambridge woman was arrested in connection with a knife att*ck that took place on a Boston University campus on Thursday night.

BU police had previously said they were investigating the stabbing, which occurred just before 8:30 pm on 855 Commonwealth Avenue on Thursday night, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.

On Sunday, Cambridge police spokesman Jeremy Warnick said in an email to that the suspect was a Cambridge resident who had been found and arrested on the basis of a courtesy reservation. The suspect was then transferred to Boston, where the original charges were brought.

Warnick referred to BU police when he asked for more information on the suspect and the allegations. BU police and the university were immediately available for comment.

The BU police wrote on Twitter On Sunday morning, the suspect was arrested Saturday night.

BU police previously described the suspect as a 35-year-old Asian with a slim body and shoulder-length black hair. Police said they fled the scene and campus after being stabbed and that they believe the victim and suspect knew each other.
