Campbell crime report for the week of July 1 – The Mercury News

June 12

8:23 a.m. at Marathon and Springfield Drive: A transitory man, 28, was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He fled on his bicycle and was slammed to the ground and taken into custody without incident. He claimed to be injured during his arrest and was evaluated at a regional hospital. He was determined to be found under the combined influence of opium and stimulants, was in possession of a glass pipe and had five outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Overnight in 300 block of Bud avenue: Someone broke an electric pole from the ground, causing damage to the electric wires and getting caught.

11:06 a.m. on Campbell and the railway route: Someone was throwing chairs, metal signs and stones at cars that damaged windows. The officers tried to stop the vehicle in the parking lot. The accused went on the footpath and then fled.

12:26 p.m. in the 200 block of West Sanioux Avenue: A momentary, 29, was allegedly trying for a door handle.

At 1:34 p.m. in the 100 block of East Hamilton Avenue: A 24-year-old man was reported to be acting suspiciously. He was drinking beer at the bus stop and was too drunk to take care of himself.

12:04 am Railway and Campbell Avenue: A 44-year-old woman was stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to have a DUI.

At 12:53 pm, officials traced a stolen white Honda CRV in the 500 block of Latimer Circle.

1:25 pm at South Bascom Avenue and Campisi Way: A 47-year-old man was stopped for a vehicle code violation. He lied about his name because he knew he was on probation and was found to have a DUI with three former convicts within the last year.

June 13

2000 Block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone passed an imaginary $50 bill.

1700 Block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone stole copper wire by entering a shopping complex. The suspect went into business with the businessman by making a hole in the wall.

12:35 p.m. on the 2300 block of South Winchester Boulevard: Someone tagged a wall.

3:35 p.m. In Camden and Courtner Avenues: Someone punched the victim in the arm several times and fled.

1:19 p.m. on the 100 block of West Hamilton Avenue: Someone stabbed the victim and demanded an undisclosed amount, then ran north on foot. The victim also fled after the incident and never called the police. Officers received a report from civilians who heard gunshots. The business was investigated for victims, and officers discovered an underground casino run by a 51-year-old man. The man was arrested and the machines confiscated. The man later admitted that he had fired two rounds in the air with the pistol. Two .22-cal firearms were located in the store, one of which was a revolver with two spent rounds.

9:23 p.m. in the 1870 block of South Bascom Avenue: A man was so drunk he couldn’t take care of himself and was causing disturbance.

Francisco Avenue and DeRos Way at 4:57 a.m.: Officers received a hit from a license plate reader and recovered an alleged stolen car.

14 July

10:16 am in the 190th block of West Rincón Avenue: A suspect barricaded himself in his bedroom with the victim and did not let her go. Two men were hiding in a vehicle in the garage and barricading inside with their children. After several minutes of order, both of them came out holding their children. Both resisted arrest, and one attempted to fight the officers. After several hours of talking, the first suspect and the victim came out as instructed. They were both under the influence of meth. The fourth suspect was hiding in the attic; He had outstanding warrants and was on parole for child abuse, and was also found to be under the influence of meth.

Overnight in the 1890 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone forcibly entered a vehicle and stole goods.

Overnight at the 1460 block of West Campbell Avenue: Someone forcibly entered a business and stole cash. The accused also caused a lot of damage.

10:54 p.m. in the 470 Block of Dover Way: During an argument, the suspect found a baseball bat, threatened the victim by raising it above his head.

July 15

8:07 a.m. at Capri Drive and West Hacienda Avenue: A momentary man, 21, was in turmoil with a woman. He had a rape warrant for domestic violence.

Overnight in the 1300 block of White Oaks Road: Someone stole the back license plate.

8 a.m. in the 520 block of East McGlinsey Lane: Someone used a victim’s credit card to make a purchase online.

6:35 pm on Block 2260 of South Winchester Boulevard: During an argument over the use of the bucket, the suspect grabbed the victim’s bucket, and as he grabbed it, her wrist was hurt.

7:37 pm in the 10th block of Hunt Way: A 26-year-old woman entered the victim’s separate garage through an open door and was probably there for a few days. The homeowner found him locked inside a bathroom in the garage. After confronting the victim, the accused bike rider fled. She was located on the next street with a bike, other items stolen from the garage, and drug paraphernalia. She was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and during her arrest kicked an officer on the shin several times. Goods were scattered in the bathroom and unidentified items were burnt inside a vessel located inside the bathroom.

2:32 a.m. in the 100 block of Kennedy Avenue: Victim reports someone banging next to a door that’s behind a closed fence. A 24-year-old man was located in the fenced area and said he lives there. He believed he was in Sunnyvale. He gained access by climbing over the fence and in the process damaged the hinge of a door.

July 16

12:47 on the 200 block of East Campbell Avenue: A 36-year-old momentary man punched a victim in the face, leaving his nose bleeding. He walked away but was stopped by the officers around the corner.

7:15 p.m. on Central and Grant Avenues: A 23-year-old woman hit a parked car and fled. She was located and found to have a DUI.

9:10 p.m. in the 200 block of Union Avenue: A 57-year-old man drops his gun when he tries to clean it.

12:24 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A 33-year-old woman asked people if they would sell her methamphetamine. She was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested.

2:34 p.m. at Dunster Drive and Latimer Avenue: A 40-year-old woman stopped for vehicle code violation and arrested for DUI.

July 17

Overnight in the 300 block of Richley Avenue: Someone broke into a vehicle and stole tools.

Overnight in the 1400 block of Abbott Avenue: Someone ransacked the men’s bathroom.

12:54 On Los Gatos Creek Trail: A woman was on the way, screaming and killing herself. She was found under the influence.

300 Orchard City Drive at 1 pm: Somebody tried to steal by forcefully entering a vehicle. Both the steering column and ignition were damaged.

During an oral argument over the road rage incident at 600 block of East Campbell Avenue at 4:08 pm, the accused spat on the victim and fled from the spot.

6:45 pm in 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: When someone punched the victim over a parking space dispute, she escaped.

12:01 am on Winchester Boulevard and Hamilton Avenue: A 16-year-old had a passenger in a car that was stopped for a vehicle code violation. The drunken teenager was handed over to his mother. A woman was stopped for reckless driving and was found to have a DUI. One man immediately fled on foot, but later returned and was found to be too drunk to take care of himself.

1:26 p.m. at Grant Street and Central Avenue: A driver is stopped and found to have a DUI for a vehicle code violation.

4:35 a.m. in the 900 block of Campisi Way: A man was approached during an alarm response and found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He had burglary equipment, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. Additionally, he was caught under surveillance roaming the premises and opening the doors to access the garage.

July 18

11:31 am in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: Someone stole property from a business.

2:51 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A passenger in a vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

3:02 p.m. on the San Tomas Expressway and Highway 17: A woman on her motorcycle was involved in a single collision and was taken to Valley Medical Center. She was driving under the influence of alcohol.

3 pm in the 1000 block of Lowell Avenue: Someone forcibly entered a vehicle and stole the goods.

2:11 p.m. at Campbell and Dillon Avenues: A woman is stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to have a DUI.

July 19

5:30 a.m. in the 100 block of North San Tomas Aquino Road: Someone broke a window into a restaurant and stole property and money.

1:24 p.m. on the 2000 block of South Winchester Boulevard: A man hurled racial slurs and spat at an employee. He was found too drunk to take care of himself. He attempted to walk away from the officers and refused to get into the patrol vehicle for several moments upon his arrest. Once inside the vehicle, he repeatedly punched his head against the partition. The victim did not wish to prosecute. In an attempt to save the accused from being arrested, a woman tried to intervene. He threatened to slap an officer and then raised his hand to do so. Another officer held her hand before she could swing.

2:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Union Avenue: A burglary was reported where someone opened the door on the side of the garage. Later, the victim called and told that the neighborhood children kicked it and opened it. The victim and family pacified the matter.

4:38 p.m. on the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue: A woman punches a bartender and finds she was too drunk to take care of herself. During his arrest, he attempted to walk away from the officers, and kicked an officer several times.

Overnight in the 200 block of Esther Avenue: The catalytic converter was stolen from a motorhome.

8:24 pm at 800 block of Gail Drive: During an argument, a man strangled the victim, dragged her to the floor and dragged her by her hair. When he called 911, he broke the victim’s phone.

12:36 p.m. on Campbell and Gilman Avenues: A man is stopped and found to have a DUI for wrongly driving on Campbell Avenue.

3:03 a.m. on the 1200 block of East Campbell Avenue: A man was ringing the doorbell, but the landlord didn’t know him. He was found to be under influence.
