(Cedar Hill, Texas) The Cedar Hill High School football team beat Wexahachi 14-10 after retreating after Friday evening at Longhorn Stadium.
Cedar Hill Junior quarterback Cedric Harden Jr. scored the winning touchdown with 1:15 left in the game. Long Horns (4-2, 3-0) trailed 10-0 in the second half, trailing two of the three District 6A-11 leaders.
Cedar Hill now tops the district rankings with 6A-11 champion Duncan Well (4-1, 3-0).
Harden scored both Long Horns touchdowns and now has 17 touchdowns this season (13 quicks, four passes). He finished the game with 211 total yards (122 passes and 89 rushing).
Jillian Jenkins, running behind Cedar Hill Jr., had 17 carries for a career-high 122 yards. This is the third time this season that Longhorn has run more than 100 yards in a game. Harden Jr. did it twice – last month Allen (102) and VC (128).
Junior wide receiver Gers Nicholson caught two passes for a career-high 83 yards.

In winning the third game in a row, Cedar Hill scored 337 yards more than the season, trailing WHS (4-2, 2-1), 337-218, but 10 penalties from 99 yards stopped several promising drives. ۔
Cedar Hill head football coach Carlos Lane scored his 20th victory at Longhorn Stadium. He is now 20-3 at home and 4-0 overall against Wexahachi.
The last time Long Horns won a 10-7 victory over Mansfield was in 2018. On Friday, for the third time this season, Long Horns competed below 21 points (during their current three-game win).
Prior to the game, Cedar Hill High School Homecoming King Felton Brisco IV and Dishon Ford and College High School Homecoming King Brendan Baker and Liliana Garcia were honored.
Cedar Hill observed a moment of silence before the game, in honor of David Reim, the former Wexahachi head football coach of 2000-2015 who died in July. Ram Cedar Hill was the father of Assistant City Manager Alison Rem.
Longhorns will visit De Soto (4-2, 2-1) in the Battle of the Belt Line game. Cedar Hill has won the last three games of the series against the Eagles, who beat Waco 72-6 on Friday.
