PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – AfterThe Eagles will head south to play against Washington Commanders on Sunday.
The match will be the first game for the Eagles.
And more importantly, it will be the first timeformer quarterback of the team.
Here are some of our favorite bets and match predictions:
Eagles (-6.5, -110) commanders (+6.5, -110)
Over / Under: 47.5
On September 25 at 1pm on FedEx Field
Jalen Hurts’ running yards
The Hurts had the best performance as an eagle against the Vikings in week 2, especially as a passerby. But we will continue to hijack it in races until the bookmakers fully adjust.
Hurts momentum yards above / below are listed at 52.5. He has improved a bit since the first two weeks of the season, but he can still clear that figure easily. Hurts surpassed him in both games this season.
Commanders are one of the worst teams in the NFL against a run, allowing 157 yards per game. Opponents averaged 7.5 yards to carry against Washington’s defense.
The Eagles, meanwhile, have one of the league’s best offensive offensives, with the Hurts ranking second in the squad by meters of ground.
In addition, Hurts ranks first in the league for design among all 14 playmakers, according to The33rdTeam.
If the Eagles are able to stay ahead and gain the upper hand, Eagles can rely on Hurts and a running game to pass the time.
Dallas Goedert receiving yards
As with the Hurts speeding prop, the books are also not suited to Goedert’s party yards. In two games, Goedert recorded 60 and 82 yards on pick-up, but his over / under was 47.5.
Goedert achieves this goal with great success, and it should continue in its third week against Washington’s vulnerable defense.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions have poorer passes than Philadelphia and had their way to defend their commanders.
The wounded man and his gun should be able to move the ball at will on Sunday.
If simple bets aren’t your thing, here’s a deal you can sprinkle some money on:
- AJ Brown at any time TD
- Goedert over 47.5 receiving yards
- Eagles money line
Brown has yet to reach the end zone as an eagle, but that could change in week 3.
Brown missed the 13 goals he scored in the first week against the Vikings last week, but he was still the most focused player on the team.
Hurts will be reminiscent of Brown every week, and that will eventually lead to a No. 1 spot on the Birds’ roster.
Orły 31, Commanders of 21
NFC East matches can be ugly at times, but the Eagles should win this game easily. Washington’s defense has been slashed this season against far worse att*cks and the Eagles should be able to take advantage of that.
But this week will also be a test to see if Nick Sirianni’s team can continue their success, especially after last week’s big prime time victory.
And of course we’ll keep an eye on how Wentz handles his ex-team. He has not left Philadelphia on good terms, and Eagles fans traveling to FedEx Field will let him hear it on Sunday.
