Everyone over the age of 16 will get booster shots if they follow Niac’s recommendations.

Booster shots will now be offered to all people above the age of 16 in the state health Department based on advice from National Immunization Advisory Committee (NIAC).

The booster shot will be given first to pregnant women in order of preference, then to those ages 40 to 49, and finally to those ages 16 to 39, starting with the oldest woman in descending order.

Now that means the booster will be offered to everyone over the age of 16 because Niac has approved the shots for everyone who is 50 or older.
