Festive forecaster: Martin Lewis reveals Christmas deals for Ikea, wine, food and more

Christmas is approaching – so people will start planning their shopping and figuring out how they will cover the cost of the festive season.

From food to gifts and decorations, there’s a lot more to it, but some helpful advice from money saving expert Martin Lewis can provide a huge benefit.

As he does annually, Lewis has put together a massive advent calendar of predictable bargains called the Festive Forecaster, which features deals in the coming weeks leading up to the big day on December 25 and beyond.

He unveiled the 2021-22 predictor during the hour-long edition of his Martin Lewis Money Show that aired on ITV on Thursday night (25 November).

It starts with a major Ikea offer running from now until 23 December, where, if customers buy a £29 six-foot Christmas tree, they get a £20 voucher to spend in the store.

Tesco has deals on wine and fizz until November 29, Sainsbury’s is doing the same until December 1, while Asda is selling cut-price festive tipples until December 12.

Meanwhile, M&S will have 30 per cent off on decorations and wrapping from December 7, while John Lewis has a similar deal starting December 14.

Christmas vegetables are also going to be available starting December 16th, with all kinds of fresh produce on sale at Aldi, Lidl, Asda and Tesco for as low as 14p.

Lewis’ advice was then extended until the new year.

“Eurostar has started giving discounts again, I expect around 4 January it will probably return £58-£59,” he cautioned: “None of these are guarantees, they are just predictions “
