AND new act on wage transparency What forces employers to include the pay spreads in their job offers sheds light on how much job applicants can earn as an expert in a variety of positions before they even submit their CV.

The New York Lawwhich entered into force this month is part of pressure from a growing number of cities and states in the US to close the gender and race pay gap and to eliminate discrimination in hiring.

The law protects candidates from wasting time applying for a job with a salary that does not meet their expectations. It also gives employees an insight into how much professionals outside their own industry can earn each year.

Here are “bona fide” employers’ estimates of how many different jobs – from a COVID-19 smear to transit workers to a private banker – are being paid today.

  • City Tails NYC Dog Walker

Salary: $ 30,000- $ 40,000 per year

Professional duties include walking the dog, accommodation in a dog nursery and working on the weekends. Dog walkers will pick up the dogs from their apartments, take them in small groups for up to an hour and drop them off at their homes.

  • Senior Director of Residential Life at Barnard College

Salary: $ 80,000- $ 85,000 per year

Responsibilities include developing a housing education program and crisis management in college dormitories. The position is from an apartment on campus.

  • Chief superintendent of railway signaling in the Metropolitan Transit Authority

Salary: $ 104,077 – $ 154,437 per year

The successful applicant will inspect, test, repair and maintain train control signals and signaling devices in the city’s extensive metro system.

Salary: $ 300,000 – $ 500,000

A banker at JP Morgan Private Bank is responsible for managing customer relations and acquiring new customers. A private bank provides financial solutions including investment management to individuals and high net worth companies.

Salary: $ 80,000- $ 85,000

The qualifications include a comprehensive understanding of the history of costumes and processes, and the responsibilities range from costume maintenance and vendor coordination to budget management.

Salary: $ 85,000- $ 95,000

Responsibilities include monitoring the media, conducting media inquiries, preparing senior administration officials for interviews, and planning events to inform the public.

  • Senior keeper of wildlife, marine mammals and birds in the New York Aquarium

Salary: $ 46 875 per year

The animal handler will train, maintain and enhance the natural behavior of each animal and ensure its overall welfare. The successful candidate is also responsible for the safety of visitors when interacting with animals and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
