Giving Christmas Joy With Dunlam Campaign in York



A York retailer aims to bring joy this Christmas by relaunching a campaign to help those in need across the city.

Dunlam’s ‘Delivering Joy’ campaign seeks to support families and individuals across York who are struggling financially, emotionally and from loneliness and other causes by helping them receive an extra gift this year.



The store has partnered with various organizations in the city, including The Island Children’s Charity, the Haxby Food Bank Project, Birchlands Care Home, IDAS Women’s Refuge and Hopping York.

Steve Tyler of Dunlam in York said: “We want to give gifts to the people who will really make a difference.



“We are also being supported this year by Jorvik Radio with coverage during our campaign.”

To participate and help spread the festive joy across town, you can go to a Dunalm store and choose a tag from their ‘Delivering Joy’ tree and then buy a gift for that person, because the tree But each tag belongs to one person. York Community.



There’s no need to wrap any gifts, but the Dunlum team asks you to put it in a gift bag and return it to the store by December 10.

Mr Tyler said: “We are looking forward to adding Christmas messages and photos from schoolchildren and even a certificate from Santa himself to let those on the good list know.

“Once we have all the gifts back we will distribute them to our partners who will ensure they are received by everyone on or before Christmas Day.”

People can also contact the store through the Facebook group the team has been running since the first lockdown to help the local community.
