I’m scared of marriage, but I have a plan

Dear Amy: I am a (usually satisfied) 30 year old single woman.

My mother is getting married in two months. He’s already tried to set me up with his fiancé’s nephew (um, no), as well as a former employee (nice guy but not for me).

Now her fiancé has decided that marriage is the right time (no, just not) to introduce me to all of her single co-workers.

Involve all the well-meaning aunts who have been asking me when I’ll find a “good man and settle down.”

I am scared from this day.

my solution? take my own date. If I already have a date there won’t be any awkward set-ups. I’ll still have to ask Auntie inappropriate questions, but at least I don’t have to face her alone.
