Celtics fans are fondly looking back to 2007 hit trade who sent seven players and multiple drafts to Minnesota in exchange for Kevin Garnett.

Boston won the NBA championship in Garnett’s first season with the team, making the hefty sum paid to win him worth it in the eyes of Celtics fans.

However, Timberwolves fans, including the NFL Network’s Good Morning Football host and Minnesota-based Jamie Erdahl, were less satisfied with the trading results.

During the segment for the hosts’ favorite sports event, Erdahl identified Garnett as one of her least favorites.

“It was July [2007] “I wake up and Kevin Garnett goes to the Celtics …” Erdahl told her co-hosts. “I was so sick of the stomach when Kevin Garnett went [to Boston]”.

Erdahl stressed that Boston was one of the reasons for her dissatisfaction, given that just two months earlier Randy Moss (who played for the Minnesota Vikings from 1998-2004) had signed with the New England Patriots.

“At this point, I feel we are becoming a farming system for New England,” she said of her reaction to the moves.

But the pain wasn’t over for Erdahl. She mentioned that just months after Garnett and Moss joined the Boston area teams, ex-Minnesota twin David Ortiz won the World Series with the Red Sox.

“You know what else happened in fall 2007? David Ortiz helps the Boston Red Sox win the second World Series in four years, ”Erdahl noted. “You know all three [Garnett, Moss, Ortiz] comes from a sports franchise in Minnesota.

“It p*sses me off, and Kevin Garnett started it all,” Erdahl lamented.

One of its co-hosts, former Patriots security, Jason McCourty, noted that, ironically, Erdahl herself ended up in New England.

She spent two years working for the New England Sports Network (NESN) before leaving to join CBS Sports in 2014.
