ARLINGTON — Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he spoke to Odell Beckham Jr. over the phone on Thanksgiving Day when his team put out the Giants, another OBJ competitor, 28-20.

“We had a good visit today,” Jones told local reporters. “Odell could help us. I believe it now. Now we have to adjust it. This is a challenge”.

Beckham did not appear in person at Thursday’s match but he’s going to visit the Giants, Cowboys and Buffalo Bills in that order, according to CBS insider Josina Anderson. He is also in talks with the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

Beckham’s visit to the Cowboys is scheduled for December 5, according to FOX’s Jay Glazer, meaning Beckham is likely to stay at the Giants facility next week if his plans don’t change.

Bills passer Von Miller, a good friend of Beckham, injured his knee in Thursday’s victory in Detroit. So that’s also something to be checked in the Beckham lottery if Miller’s tentative diagnosis of a sprain is confirmed on Friday.

“Happy Thanksgiving,” Beckham tweeted with an emoticon during the Cowboys’ dominant win.

With the Giants hated losers three of the last fourthe logical move for the team, Beckham, or both could be to submit a joint interest in reuniting by 2023.

But stay tuned. Everything is possible with OBJ. And New York will always be home.

THIBODEAUX MORE ACTIVE

Number 5 overall Kayvon Thibodeaux was active on Thursday. According to TruMedia, he had five QB hits on Dak Prescott, tied a holding penalty, and pressured 38.1% of his 21 rush passes.

“It was the day I showed how I had grown and how much work I had put in,” said Thibodeaux.

But Thibodeaux only managed one tackle and allowed Prescott to escape on a safe sack early in the second half, leading to a 5-yard race that started the Cowboys’ touchdown action.

“It definitely eats you alive when you miss the games they give you,” he said. “I have to be able to break down and slide… Still [have] a lot to do. Of course, I didn’t get there the way I wanted. I just have to keep going.

Thibodeaux limped at one point in the second half but returned to the game.

THOMAS: SICK, BUT NO EXCUSES

Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas played sick. He entered and left the stadium wearing a mask. But he was disappointed in himself for letting the Cowboys pass two Micah Parsons contestants. “I felt throughout the game that I wasn’t playing at the level I wanted to be,” said Thomas.

TURKEY BLUE DAY

The Giants lost their fourth straight Thanksgiving game, dropping to an all-time 7-6-3 during the holiday season, including a 1-4 in the Super Bowl era. They haven’t won a Thanksgiving since 1982… Saquon Barkley’s second-quarter 1-yard rush was the Giants’ first Thanksgiving offensive touchdown since 1938, five games and 84 years ago.

“X” SUBMITS TO CONTROL

Safe Xavier McKinney (left hand), who remains inactive on the non-football injury list, was wheeled to the AT&T Stadium X-ray room before the game to check on the injury’s progress. McKinney didn’t wear a hard plastic shield over his hand, just a large scarf. Had surgery on at least a couple of broken fingers after an ATV accident in Cabo the week of Oct 9.

COURSES AND END

The Giants led 13-7 at half-time but lost 21-7 in the second half… A Rodarius Williams corner and a Julian Love save intercepted Prescott. This marked Williams’ first career NFL interception. These two picks also corresponded to the number of Giants steals in the first 10 games of the season. Love leads the team of two. Darnay Holmes interrupted the pass that led to Love’s pick… Giants kicker Graham Gano made a field goal with 57 yards and 47 yards. He was the first to lead 3-0 after Ezekiel Elliott’s fourth stoppage by ex-cowboy Jaylon Smith on the 40-yard line in Dallas…Darius Slayton jumped a 44-yard to set up Barkley’s early touchdown…Holmes was whistled for a killer for holding a penalty in the 3rd and Game 7 against Ceedee Lamb during the first run of the third quarter. Holmes said the judge told him he was grabbing Lamb’s T-shirt. It is unclear how the referee saw Holmes’s hand grab Lamb’s shirt… Brian Daboll was furious with the umpire for an illegal downfield penalty for a Tire Phillips right tackle that negated Daniel Jones’ first quarter pass to Isaiah Hodgins. Daboll was still p*ssed about the game after the game. “You’ll have to ask the umpire,” he growled… A call in defense of Trevon Diggs against Hodgins later canceled Jones’ interception in the second quarter to secure Donovan Wilson… Leonard Williams said he went to the locker room at one point because he pulled his left calf. But he did the massaging, got an IV, and when he got back in the game, it wasn’t a problem… The seven inactive Giants players started from the outside corners of Adoree Jackson (twisted right MCL) and Fabian Moreau (slanted), center Jon Feliciano (neck), right tack Evan Neal (Sprained MCL/Sickness), Left Back Josh Ezeudu (Neck), Back Up Daniel Bellinger (Eye) and Back Up Shane Lemieux (Fingers).
