Mac Jones’ stat line was decent. However, this did not translate into points.

Second game in a row Mac Jones didn’t turn the ball over

He completed all but four passes, and his receivers helped him with plenty of yardage when caught.

Overall, 85 percent passing and shooting for 246 yards is pretty decent. Even though he was fired six times.

“I thought we stayed together as a unit, we didn’t lose our temper and we worked together to try to win,” Jones said. “Of course Marcus” [Jones] The comeback was the icing on the cake, but they are a good football team in difficult conditions. They played really well and you had to give them credit for that and they were happy that we won, which is a great division win.

In the end, the Patriots had enough to win 10-7 against the Jets, illustrating both how well the New England defense played and opposing quarterback Zach Wilson. But Jones’ streak of holding a touchdown or less continues. Still not many touchdowns in 10 games of the season and New England are now 3-8 in the red zone since Jones returned from injury.

“I think it’s very disappointing,” Jones said. “We put in too much work to achieve this result. I think it starts with us the ex*cution part and then of course we try to figure something out just make it work and go through that line you said 35 40 yards and just see if we can go through and see it , what will happen. Every time you move the ball towards the goal line, it’s good. When you backtrack for whatever reason, it’s not.

One of the ways Jones wants to open up the Patriots offensive is with more action games.

“I think playing action is a good part of any att*cking game, and you want to be able to get defenders to come in and cover up and stuff,” Jones said. “I definitely want to expand on that. Something we’ve done really well here in the past and just try to do it and fit it with everything we do. Like I said, there are fast throws, medium, long, action, RPO, screens, all these things.

“We want to do better. Of course we want to get more than three points,” Jones said. “It’s not enough. We need to look at it and see what we can do better. It’s kind of the same story here. We’ll figure it out, but it takes time and ex*cution. That’s what it comes down to. Putting points on the board and not turning the ball over is important, which we didn’t do today, so that’s how we win 95 per cent of games if we don’t turn it over.
