Minion woman’s scooter was stolen by thieves



A woman who helped brighten people’s days by creating the “Spot the Minion” challenge is now appealing for help after her scooter was stolen.

Chelsea McGarry first started walking around town in her Minion outfit to amuse herself and others after a tragic miscarriage in March.



She garnered a popular following with her Spot the Minion Facebook page, but was shocked last week when she was targeted by burglars who stole her moped-style scooter, which was parked outside the nursery she works in.

Ms McGarry said: “I use my moped every single day to commute to and from work, I work really hard.



“Wednesday November 17 outside my workplace, HappyTots Private Day Nursery in westthoton, Three Lads Angle grinded the chain off my bike that was tied to the front railing and stole it.

“More bikes were stolen that day, I have also been informed.



“These boys need to stop, they call themselves repo gangs.”

Ms McGarry has become famous in the area thanks to Spot the Minion and is often seen walking around in her costume bolt on Waving at passing cars and families.

Her walk sparked a warm reaction in the community, with children waving at Ms McGarry and honking cars.

A woman even stopped by to say that the dress made her happy after spending her first Mother’s Day without her mother.

Now however, Ms McGarry says she is “absolutely devastated” by the theft and has spoken to the police along with her insurance provider.

He hopes that members of the community will be able to help him recover the stolen scooter and has shared photos of the gang in the act outside Chorley Road Nursery in the hope that someone can identify them or it will help people to come forward. can encourage.
