Mitchell’s return is no cut in the first start of Lance.

Glendale, Aries. Trey Lance will not have to target George Cuttle but the 49ers have a surplus of wide receivers available, as well as the return of Elijah Mitchell’s escape.

A day after putting the cuttle on the reserve due to a calf injury, and Jimmy Garopolo pulling himself out with the calf strain, the 49ers are according to five wide receivers for Lance’s first start against the Arizona Cardinals. Will

Travis Benjamin’s promotion from the practice squad pushed John Jennings off the inactive list. Other wide recipients: Debo Samuel, Brendan Iowa, Muhammad Sanu and Trent Sherfield.

The 49ers did not produce more than their wide receivers other than Debo Samuel, who is second in the NFL with 227 yards (28 catches) entering Sunday’s game.

Kettle had the second-highest number of hits in four games (19 for 227 yards, no touchdowns), followed by fullback Kyle Jessic (11 catches, 100 yards, one touchdown).

Other wide receivers figures for the 49ers: Iowa (six for 58 yards, 1TD), Sherfield (three for 32 yards, 1TD) and Jennings (three for 31 yards, 1TD).

As far as his cutless tight end unit is concerned, Ross Doyle’s only catch this season was a 21-yard touchdown in the opening series last Sunday. Charlie Warner is looking for his first welcome this season after the first three years.

Garopolo Sighting.

Garopolo is remembering its 24th start since 2018.

Garopolo did not run on his right calf injury, and he pedaled very seriously, imitating the dropback pass.

Although a calf injury sent George Kettle injured reserve for at least the next three games, the 49ers also avoided sending Garopolo on this IR route, and the same with Cornback K’Waun Williams, who made his second straight. Lost games.

Meanwhile, Lance began pulling for the first start of his career, about 30 minutes after Garopolo’s workout.

Coach Kill Shanhan did not promise a full-time promotion for Lance.

“Right. Yes, our starting quarterback has been hurt,” Shane said Friday. If he were 100 percent today, we would go with him.
