The New Jersey man’s relatives mourn him after he was found dead in a kettle at the food processing plant where he worked.

Dale Devilli, 63, was the “perfect husband and father” to two daughters who “valued his family above all else” before his tragic accident, according to his online obituary.

“Rock in the family,” Devilli is remembered as “their protector, their leader and their home,” notes the obituary.

“Daddy, losing you yesterday so suddenly was a nightmare that I know will not end soon. I don’t know what to do without your loving and supportive conversations that always ended with “everything will be fine, I love you,” wrote Devilla’s daughter Karla in a heartbreaking post on Facebook. “You went above and beyond as a father and never missed a chance to make my mother, sister and I feel loved and reassured. You have taught me more than I could learn from a book about life, unconditional love, and the importance of family. I know I’ll see you again sometime. I love you so much and I miss you. “

“You were a damn good man who was taken from us on the way to … [sic] soon you will miss it very much and you will never forget Dale, ”we read in a Facebook tribute by Maurice Cobb.

Authorities Monday morning responded to Lassonde Industries Inc. facility in Cumberland County, approximately 50 miles northwest of Atlantic City, where Devilla has been found. Soon after, he was pronounced dead.

OSHA told New Jersey 101.5 it was also investigating Devilla’s d*ath, but authorities said “there was nothing suspicious at the scene.”

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Saturday.

“We are devastated by the loss of our friend and colleague and our colleague, and our hearts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time,” Alexander Roberton, senior director of corporate communications at Lassonde told New Jersey 101.5.
