One injured in West Auckland shooting – The Mercury News

AUCKLAND – A man was injured in a shooting late Monday night, officials said.

Shortly after 9:40 a.m., officers responded to reports of shotspotter activity in the DeFremary Park area.

When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds between the streets of Adeline and Chestnut in the 1100 block of 18th Street.

Firefighters and paramedics arrived and treated him before he was taken to hospital. HIV status was not immediately available at the end of Monday.

Investigators said they had no motives or suspects in custody.
