A 33-year-old San Francisco man was fatally shot Saturday night at Concordia Park in East Oakland.
The man was killed when a shot was fired on Saturday at around 6:05 pm in a park near Camden Street and 63rd Avenue, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.
Other people were in the park when shots rang out, although no other injuries were reported.
According to authorities, investigators found many shells in the park. The motive for the shooting remains unclear and the arrests have not been announced.
The man’s name has not been released, pending notification from his immediate family.
The homicide is the 95th d*ath that Oakland Police investigated this year as a homicide. At the same time, last year, Oakland Police investigated 100 homicides. The California Highway Patrol also investigated four highway killings in the city this year.
