ORCHARD PARK, NY (AP) – Buffalo Bills safety agent Micah Hyde announced on Saturday that the team plans to place the starter in an injured reserve at the end of the season with a neck injury.

Jack Bechta added in a Twitter message that he expects Hyde to be healthy returning to next season.

Hyde has already been excluded from Sunday’s game against Miami. He was sent off the sideline in the second half of Buffalo’s 41-7 win over Tennessee on Monday night.

Coach Sean McDermott said Tuesday that Bills had sent Hyde to the hospital for further injury assessment.

The injury is a big blow for the Billów, who are on the starting line 2-0.

Hyde and Jordan Poyer have established themselves as one of the NFL’s top security tandems since they both signed with The Bills in 2017. They both had a draw, leading the team five steals last season.

Buffalo will be without at least four defensive regulars in the AFC East clash against the Dolphins.

Cornerback Dane Jackson, slide tackle Ed Oliver and substitute Jordan Phillips were also excluded on Friday. Poyer and Tim Settle gear were among five players on the suspect list after limited exercise.

Rookie cornerbacks Christian Benford and Kaiir Elam are in line to kick off against a Dolphins att*ck led by Tua Tagovailoa who lead the NFL through two games at 703 yards. Benford and Elam opened the photos of sharing the season on the defensive corner opposite Jackson.
