Stabbing at Malvern Way, Hastings under police investigation

These nine photos show police investigating the site of a stabbing yesterday.



Police cordoned off the road after the attack on Malvern Way in Hastings at around 3.30 p.m. while forensic investigators searched the scene.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, was taken to hospital with wounds “similar to being stabbed with a sharp weapon”.



Police said the victim had gone to meet a man suspected of stabbing him before attacking him.

The officials were at the spot at around 3.35am and said that they are giving assurance to the surrounding community.



Police are eager to identify a black teen with a ‘corny’ style haircut.

An address was searched in Hastings, but no one was present.



Detective Inspector Sophie McGarrell said: “We appreciate that this is a sad incident for the local community, but I want to assure that we are treating this as an isolated incident in which two people who know each other , which poses no danger to the wider public.

“We would urge anyone living in the area who has video doorbell footage or information that can help authorities come to the fore in our investigation.”
