The average U.S. price of regular-grade gasoline rose 6 cents to 3. 3.31 a gallon over the past two weeks.

The increase comes as crude oil prices rise and demand rises in Europe, where refineries are turning to oil-based fuels by burning gas, said Turlby Lindbergh, an industry analyst at the Lundberg Survey.
Nationwide, the highest average price for regular grade gas in the San Francisco Bay Area is $ 4.55 per gallon. The lowest average is in Houston, at 7 2.77 per gallon.
According to the survey, the average price of diesel rose 11 cents to 3. 3.45 per gallon.
