The sheriff’s department shot one person.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department shot and killed a 28-year-old man Friday.

A man named Isaac Louis Soria pointed a rifle at a neighbor and was inside his home in the 11000 block of Carlo Court when the Rancho Kokamunga Police Department arrived at about 2 p.m. According to the Sheriff’s Department.

Officials say the Sheriff’s Department’s Specialized Enforcement Division also arrived to help, and Sheriff’s Department negotiators were in contact with Surya for several hours.

The sheriff’s department said Surya finally left his home shortly before 7 p.m., and he was still armed with his rifle and wearing a body armor.

The sheriff’s office did not say what happened after Soria left the house, but confirmed that at least one deputy shot and killed Soria.

“Deputy and emergency medical personnel provided medical assistance to Surya at the scene and she was later shifted to a local hospital,” the department said.

The situation in Syria has not been resolved.

The Sheriff’s Department’s Specialized Investigation Division is investigating the shooting. ‘
