Weatherspon signed with the Warriors on Monday and played a minute in Tuesday’s pre-season game – a 111-99 win over the Lakers.
Weatherspun, 25, has appeared in 31 games with the San Antonio Spurs over the past two seasons, averaging 1.9 points per game in 6.4 minutes.
The former Mississippi student has spent the past two seasons with Austin G-League’s Austin Spurs in San Antonio. In Austin, Weatherspon averaged 14 14.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.05 steals in 37 games (35 starts) in 29.1 minutes.
The 6-foot-3 guard was selected by the San Antonio Spurs as the 49th overall in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Figueroa, a 23-year-old 6-foot-6 guard, was a free agent at the University of Oregon. During his senior year with the Ducks, he led the team with an average of 6.1 rebounds. He appeared in 26 games (21 starts), averaging 12.3 points and 1.58 steals.
His college career began at Odessa College in Odessa, Texas, where he won the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year awards.
He moved to St. John’s in his sophomore and junior years.
The Warriors roster now has over 20 players.
