The three men eventually leave the woman and the man alone and jump into a nearby car and run away. The woman can be heard shouting “F*** you prick!” after them.
The video ends with the woman taking out her phone to take a picture or video of the car, and the man being beaten up, lying on the ground.
In a Facebook post by local band Young Other, the man was Identified As 20-year-old musician and bandmate Adam Neufeld, and the woman in the video was identified as his girlfriend, Celia Joseph.
Boston police said in a statement that they were called to report the attack at 12:09 a.m. Friday, June 24, at Atlantic Avenue and Summer Street in Boston.
Police said it was reported that a 20-year-old man was physically assaulted by four white men. The injured man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the investigation into the incident is “very active and ongoing”, but they have not arrested anyone in connection with the incident.
In the police report for the incident, police wrote that witnesses told them that Neufeld and Joseph were standing outside South Station when a group of young white men, possibly in their early 20s, in a gray Toyota 4Runner Nephel was yelled at for a haircut.
Eyewitnesses told police that Nephel and the group of people in the SUV started yelling at each other before a man came out and punched Nephel. The man was followed by three others, who proceeded to beat Nephel.
Witnesses told police they got back in the SUV and the SUV left Atlantic Avenue toward Seaport Boulevard.
Nephel is the drummer of a local band called Young Others. The band played at the Welcome to Rockville music festival at Daytona Speedway in Florida earlier this month.
band Told That Nephel is suffering from a broken nose, a split lip, extensive bruising, and a concussion that has increased sensitivity to light and loud sounds.
He said Nephel and his family are working with doctors to determine when he can go back on tour.
The band wrote, “Please keep Adam, his girlfriend Celia and their families in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy, healthy, full recovery.”
