Cassian Andor’s story has come to a dramatic end, or at least the first season Andor now it’s over.

The Disney+ series follows the eponymous character, once again played by Diego Luna, in the early days of the rebellion and traces his path to becoming the Captain fans have known and loved since Rogue 1. Star Wars Stories.

What’s next for the Star Wars franchise after Andorra?

The first show that will continue Andor it’s nothing more than the return of the “Star Wars” series that started it all: The Mandalorian.

With Pedro Pascal reprising his role as the titular bounty hunter, season 3 will follow his character, Dinn Djarin, on the next leg of his journey from Grog and the new challenges they will face after it is revealed that the Mandalorian broke the rules of his people by taking off his helmet and showing face.

Season 3 The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ in February 2023, although an official release date has yet to be confirmed.

Other shows slated for release in 2023 include Ahsoka, which follows the character of Rosario Dawson after the events of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, and Cadre.

Cadre stars Jude Law, and while little is known about the plot, the series is confirmed to take place during the same time period as The Mandalorian.

Andor will also receive a second season, and filming for the series began on November 21, showrunner Tony Gilroy confirmed in an interview with Collider.

But the show is unlikely to return until 2024.

Other Star Wars shows currently in development include: Acolyte featuring Lee Jung-jae, Amandla Stenberg, Dafne Keen, Manny Jacinto, Jodie Turner-Smith and Carrie-Anne Moss, among others.

The series is set in the era of the High Republic, and filming for the project has already begun. The release date has not yet been revealed.

A Lando Calrissian spin-off show is also rumored to be in the works, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said Total movie with whom the project was discussed Solo: Star Wars Stories actor Donlad Glover, who portrayed the character in the film.

In the original Star Wars trilogy and sequels Rise of Skywalker, the character is played as Billy Dee Williams.

As for movies, there are several projects in the works, including an untitled film directed by Taika Waititi, a new Rian Johnson trilogy and Rogue Squadron, hosted by Patty Jenkins.

None of these movies currently have a release date set.
