PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Kyle Wright became the first winner of 20 major tournament games this season, with Atlanta Braves defeating Philadelphia Phillies 6-3 on Saturday to stop a three-game loss streak.

William Contreras and rookie Michael Harris II both scored and had three hits for the Braves (94-58), who had moved within 1 1/2 of the game from the first Mets in the NL East. New York lost 10-4 to Oakland.

Mets and Braves will play three games in Atlanta next weekend.

Bryce Harper in his sixth inning for Philadelphia (83-68) struck a two-tier homer who started the day halfway to San Diego for NL’s second wildcard and two and a half games ahead of Milwaukee in the final-place finals.

Wright, 26, made 5 1/3 innings and became Braves’ first pitcher to win 20 games since Russ Ortiz won 21 in 2003. Wright is the seventh 20-game winner for Braves since moving to Atlanta in 1966. he also joined Denny Neagle and four Hall of Famers: John Smoltz, Greg Maddux, Phil Niekro and Tom Glavine.

Wright (20-5) had a high vote but did not allow a hit until Rhys Hoskins doubled up with one in sixth place. Harper followed suit with his 18th Homer, ending the bidding and chasing after Wright.

Philadelphia scored an undeserved seventh-place finish and had a potential chance of a draw at the two-outs board as AJ Minter beat Hoskins in a 3-2 fast ball. Kenley Jansen earned his 37th defensive position with a clear ninth inning.

Atlanta made an early offensive by taking advantage of Bailey Falter’s inability to keep the ball off-center. Braves took six rounds and 10 hits in the 3 2/3 innings against Falter (5-4), giving the left-handed his first defeat since July 24.

Contreras hit his 20th Homer in the third. Harris added two runs, his 19th, fourth. Vaughn Grissom and Travis d’Arnaud had two hits for Atlanta.

Brave: The Rookie RHP Spencer Strider (tense left diagonal) has been placed on the 15-day injured list, retroactively until September 21 and will miss the rest of the regular season. His play-off status is uncertain. … Ronald Acuña Jr. (in the back) sat down for the third day in a row. It is day by day.

Phillies: OF Nick Castellanos (right oblique strain) will not go into minor league rehab and will likely be activated from IL next week when the Phillies embark on their nine-game journey in Chicago. Castellanos was added to the injuries list on September 4.

The regular season finale between rivals from NL East is Sunday as Atlanta sends Charlie Morton’s RHP (9-6, 4.09 ERA) to the mound against RHP Kyle Gibson (10-7, 4.71).
